Kevin and Laura Punchard

At Gibbon Bridge Hotel, Chipping 20th September 2013

Another unbelievable turn in weather at the last minute saw Kev and Laura get married outside at Gibbon Bridge on 20/09/2013. I had been at Gibbon Bridge just two weeks earlier and the same thing had happened, the weather had been terrible all week, then on the day you want the weather to be perfect...it was! This was even better news than normal, because Gibbon Bridge are fully set up for outdoor summer weddings, having a lovely wooden pavillion in the rear gardens, which they had laid out a red carpet leading upto, and chairs and benches outside for all the guests to watch. Flowers decorated the outside of the pavillion and the tree lined gardens and hills behind provided an amazing backdrop.

This, from a photography viewpoint, was perfect.. and I had been hoping all week that I would be photographing their wedding outside!

From the ceremony at 2pm, the day absolutely flew by, and it didn't seem long before it was time for speeches, where Laura's Dad, Kev and best man, Michael Farrar did a superb job of making everyone laugh, and cry (in parts!) and they even had me finding it hard to not show a bit of a grin! Highlight for me was Michael's stories of the stag do, followed up by giving Kev several A3 printed photographs as a reminder he really didn't need!
